Hey, I’m Natalie! I’m a small-town girl and creative to my core, and my “why” lies in storytelling for those who may not know where to start or how to do it. Whether it’s editing a video for a special announcement, being behind the camera capturing a special event, or easing the mind of a small business owner scheduling social media posts so they can focus on strengthening client relationships, I have always felt drawn to serve those who have a story that need access to the right tools to share it with others.
I’ve been local to the Crystal Coast my whole life, and I admire how our community is woven together at all corners to make such a strong network of businesses, both small and large, that support one another as only a small town can. This is one of many reasons why I decided to put down roots in Swansboro, North Carolina.
I’ve always believed the best stories are the ones that feel real, the kind you can’t stage or imitate. That’s what led me into marketing, and eventually into photography and content creation. My background is in digital marketing and media, receiving my bachelor’s degree at UNCW (Communication Studies) and a master’s degree from Elon University (Interactive Media), where I learned how strategy shapes visibility and how thoughtful storytelling builds trust. Over the years, I’ve worked on social media campaigns, email marketing, video production, event promotion, and community-focused initiatives. What I’ve learned most is this: people connect with what feels honest.
In 2021, I began offering professional portrait photography, and it quickly became one of my favorite ways to tell stories. Whether it’s a graduation session, a family milestone, or content for a local business, I love capturing moments that feel natural. I work efficiently and intentionally so sessions feel relaxed, not rushed, and you walk away with images that truly reflect you.
I also have a deep love for video editing. There’s something special about turning raw footage into a story that feels meaningful and lasting. Living and working in a smaller community has shaped how I approach everything I do. Relationships matter here. Reputation matters. Showing up for people matters. I care about creating work that helps people feel confident in how they’re seen — both online and in real life.
POV by Natalie is built on that idea: your story, told thoughtfully, from your perspective.
